Inspired
I was nervous when I walked into the Algonkian Writers Conference. After all, I’m not a writer by trade, and I only had about forty pages written in my novel. Even though the director Michael Neff makes a big deal about this NOT being a “feel-good workshop,” I left completely inspired. I loved working with other aspiring novelists, and working to create a pitch good enough for an agent made me realize what my novel lacked – a bad guy, and more conflict! After five days, I had both an outline for my novel (not part of the classwork, just a happy by-product) and the inspiration I needed to keep writing. I totally recommend Algonkian Writers Conference to anyone who has a novel they want the world to read!
